Swarovski's Kidnapping

Fiona Swarovski, heir to the Swarovksi jewelry empire, was under threat of kidnapping, the Austrian media reported on October 25. The abduction was to occur at Swarovski’s residence in Kitzbühel, however an inmate of the local Innsbruck prison who has ties to the alleged kidnappers notified the police of the plot by letter. Later it was learned that the police had received the letter a fortnight earlier but doubted its authenticity. It is unclear when the act was to take place, but authorities say that the residence has been placed under surveillance. An international arrest warrant has been issued to find the group, but authorities do not want to give any details on the investigation.
