Vienna Faces

 

 

Hans, a Mac computer specialist, born in Vienna and living in 7th District. This is the first portrait of Vienna Faces, a series of drawings for The Vienna Review by artist Martin Huxter, winner of the John Moores Exhibition for Painting. Huxter was born in Essex, England and has art exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery of London. He has been living and working as an artist in Vienna since 1994. Faces is Huxter‘s response to the people he encounters and hopes to portray how Vienna is becoming increasingly cosmopolitan. At street level, faces can look very different from the ‘face’ presented by the media.
