KlezMore Festival Turns Nine

The ninth annual festival of traditional and contemporary Klezmer music by local and international artists. Readings, silent movies and lectures about Yiddish culture with groups like the Koby Israelite Duo from Great Britain or the Danish group Afenginn.
The festival opens with Jazz & Earth, a trio with 76-year-old Austrian violinist and composer Toni Stricker on 3 Nov. and runs until 18 Nov. The honoured guest is the exceptional Viennese singer Agnes Palmisano, who will be accompanied by the clarinet-accordion duo Klezmer Reloaded.
All in all, 11 event locations invite 23 inspiring expeditions in literature, music and film, taking place in music bars like Porgy & Bess and Ostklub and the Filmcasino, where silent movies will be presented.
