Slovakian company Piano Media announced the expansion of its media paywall model to Poland, according to an 18 July press release on its website. Subscribers pay a flat monthly fee of 19.90 Polish złoty (roughly €4.90) for unlimited access to premium content from seven media outlets, including 27 regional and national newspapers, 14 magazines, and the national public radio.
The move marks the third market for the Slovakian company, first launched in May 2011. As reported in the February 2012 TVR, Piano Media spread into the Slovenian market in late January 2012, and has since experienced steady growth.
