Soviet Architecture on Display

The exhibition "Soviet Modernism 1955 – 1991. Unknown Stories" at the Architekturzentrum Wien is inviting the most important experts on the Soviet Modern period to take part at the 19th Vienna Architecture Congress.

On 24 and 25 Nov., architectural historians, urban planners, cultural theorists and architects from the former Soviet Union will discuss issues like "Capitalism vs. Communism. Modern architecture in East and West" and "Constructed Ideology" from the point of view of politics, economy and architecture. Each 30’ – 40’ minute lecture will given in English, Russian and German.
