Alliance of Austrian Theatres

Five independent Austrian theatres have formed a platform to pool resources, promote young actors and exchange productions by contemporary playwrights. This Theaterallianz (Alliance of Theatres), consists of the Schauspielhaus Wien, the Theater Phönix Linz, the Schauspielhaus Salzburg, the Klagenfurter Ensemble and the Theater Kosmos Bregenz. It is funded by the Ministry of Culture, and will receive €50,000 this year and €80,000 in 2014.

From 24 June to 1 July, the collaboration’s first public appearance will be at the Theaterallianz Festival Bregenz, with stagings of one production from each of the participating theatres.
