CRISIS, CRITIQUE, CAPITALISM

In her talk, "Crisis Critique, Capitalism: A Framework for the 21st Century", Professor Nancy Fraser explores discussions around the current crises in economy, ecology, politics, and society, and asks how to best re-conceptualise capitalism. She proposes an expanded conception of capitalism better fitted to the 21st century.

ON POPULISM AND DEMOCRACY

Jan-Werner Mueller, Professor of Politics at Princeton University, delivers a lecture series entitled "We The People: On Populism and Democracy" as part of the IWM Lectures in Human Sciences. The first lecture is entitled "What is Populism?" The second tackles "Intrusions of the People: Ideals of Popular Sovereignty in History", and the third and final lecture is "Real Problems – and How to Respond to Them".
