Friday was almost too-hot, so perhaps we were seeing things. Near the Stadtpark we spotted them: a group of 20 men, dressed to the nines in white shirts, black ties and dress pants, and sunglasses. The Blues Brothers minus the hats, each towing a huge styrofoam cube on a pallet jack. The lights changed, and they crossed the street. We followed.
In front of Landstraße train station, men and cubes arranged themselves… A political protest? A call to action? Finally: Hier geht’s zur Wien Mitte: The Mall with a helpful arrow pointing toward the entrance. The gathered crowd sighed as one, and began to disperse.
