Chilly Gonzales

Jason Charles Beck aka Chilly Gonzales is a virtuoso Canadian pianist, singer and occasional rapper. Above all, however, he is a magnificent entertainer who became a pop star of a somewhat different kind via the Berlin detour. His recordings range from solala to very good; Gonzales is always fantastic on stage, however different his various Vienna shows have been since he gave a concert lasting several hours in front of a handful of people at the Chelsea just after the turn of the millennium - together with his old girlfriend Peaches, who was still completely unknown to him at the time. A good decade later, he played a concert of the century at the Radiokulturhaus together with the Radio Symphony Orchestra as part of an FM4 session, and he was just as successful at the Flex and the Konzerthaus as he was at the Porgy & Bess. In the meantime, he has also performed at the State Opera and the Konzerthaus.
