HOOD

Felix Kramer names Bob Dylan, Ludwig Hirsch, Leonard Cohen, Serge Gainsbourg and Georg Kreisler as important sources of inspiration. Five old men, four of them dead. Even more unusual than this pronounced soft spot for artists who could be his grandfathers is the career of the young musician from Ottakring: He studied classical concert guitar and already performed internationally in the context of serious music, but felt visibly out of place there. So Kramer switched to singer/songwriter, specializing in emotional and not necessarily cheerful songs in Viennese dialect, finely arranged and convincingly staged. The debut album "Wahrnehmungssache", recorded in close collaboration with Hanibal Scheutz of 5/8erl in Ehr'n, was released in 2018, followed by the excellent follow-up "Alles gut" in 2020. Live, Kramer usually has a five-piece band at his side.
