The show presents fabric designs, ceramics, fashion, accessories, toys, postcards and much more by female designers who worked for the Wiener Werkstätte, founded by Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser in 1903. On display are 800 designs and objects by around 130 "women in the arts and crafts" who were able to develop during the First World War and subsequently helped to shape and embody the type of the "new woman".
