Maja Vukoje

The artist, born in 1969, paints her pictures on coarse, unprimed jute and thus brings them closer to the world of goods transported in sacks. Sometimes the motifs refer to art history, sometimes they refer to pop culture. For her personal "Auf Kante" (On Edge), Vukoje has designed a room installation consisting of industrially dyed lengths of fabric that runs along the window front of the exhibition house.
