Asaf Avidan

The son of Israeli diplomats, Avidan grew up in different corners of the world as a folk-rock musician who was hailed as a "new messiah" by Mexico's Rolling Stone. Avidan's trademark is an extraordinary voice that has earned him repeated comparisons to Janis Joplin and Robert Plant; the German weekly Die Zeit even called him a "hoarse angel.
