The Kurdish singer Sakina Teyna tells her personal story of how she lived in two worlds as a child without knowing it. Kurdish was forbidden in Turkey at that time. Her parents therefore brought her up as a Turk and did not tell her that she was Kurdish. It wasn't until she was a student that she accidentally came out and discovered her Kurdish identity and language, which she has made the language of her music. She records the stations of her life, outlined by the cartoonist Reinhard Trinkler, in reports and songs. She is accompanied by the Persian musician Mahan Mirarab.
