The Sigmund Freud Museum was recently renovated at a cost of four million euros and the exhibition space doubled. For the first time, all private and ordination rooms can be visited at the famous address Berggasse 19. Three new permanent exhibitions convey Freud's thinking, present conceptual art and tell the story of the house, which was built in 1890. The Jewish psychoanalyst himself had to flee in 1938, where he took the famous couch with him.
