There were hardly any performance opportunities in 2020, but there was no shortage of productivity in Austrian alternative pop. Among others, there was the debut of the Lower Austrian brother and sister duo Anna and Martin Rupp, who call themselves Jansky, released under the pragmatically simple title "LP1" on Problembär. Jansky play somewhat unconventionally arranged and, despite all reduction, always lovingly arranged Weltverdrusspop with German lyrics. The Rupps don't shy away from emotionality, but in spite of a formative basic sadness the songs with compact one-word-titles like "Venedig", "Tür", "Wunsch" or "Schwalben" never seem hopeless.
