Kurt Prohaska Trio & Special Guest

The Viennese pianist Kurt Prohaska appreciates Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie and above all Hank Jones, which is also reflected in the programmes of his trio, currently featuring Paul Hondl (kb) and Dusan Milenkovic (dr). From swing to bebop to the post-bop era; even a Latin jazz special is occasionally available. As part of the concert series "The Story of Jazz", Prohaska has been traversing the entire history of jazz for several years. Under the October motto "Cornet Chop Suey" Christof Zellhofer on cornet expands the Kurt Prohaska Trio to a quartet.
