Three contemporary choreographies meet: Balanchine's "Symphony in three moments" to a composition by Stravinsky, Alexei Ratmansky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" to music by Mussorgsky and the world premiere of Martin Schläpfer's "Symphony No. 15" to the piece of the same name by Shostakovich. The performance is varied: formal, precise and sometimes wild.
