A young fan tours America with a rock band to write a portrait for Rolling Stone. The year is 1973 and the story, written and directed by ex-music journalist Crowe, is clearly autobiographically inspired. An amusing, mildly time-critical portrait of an era when rock music was increasingly falling prey to commercialism, but there were still the steadfast fans with their faith in the songs.
