What has become of the utopias? With his documentary film, which sometimes brings to mind the cinematographic essays of Jean-Luc Godard, Hubert Sauper undertakes a foray through Cuba's past and present - and places the Cubans at the centre. "Sometimes he meets them by chance, sometimes he accompanies his adult protagonists into their barren homes. Most of all, though, they are children he has befriended, who share their view of things, their dreams.
