Director, writer, musician and performance artist Miranda July tells in "Kajillionaire" about a bizarre, tragicomic family whose life is marked by poverty, insensitivity and hardship: Robert, Theresa and their daughter Old Dolio get by in Los Angeles with small scams. During one of their schemes, they meet Melanie, whose empathetic normality brings a breath of fresh air to the trio's family structure. A brilliantly cast melodrama that was not well received by all critics.
