The chessboard was their stage: the documentary focuses on the legendary chess players Nona Gaprindashvili, Maia Chiburdanidze, Nana Alexandria and Nana Iosseliani, who brought all the titles to Georgia from the early 1960s until the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s. "Filmmaker Tatia Skhirtladze memorializes the heroines of her childhood with her documentary. She shows them in today's world, where they are committed to young chess players.
