Long ago they shared a familiar moment; now, 15 years later, retired architect Shauna and oncologist Pierre meet again. Although 25 years of life separate them, Shauna's health is failing and Pierre is a married family man, they fall in love and begin a relationship. Carine Tardieu's multifaceted drama illuminates the couple as well as their environment and the unintentional hurts that arise there. Overall, however, a very adult magnanimity prevails: It is a film about the value of love and life in the face of its fragility. The script is based on a planned film by filmmaker Sólveig Anspach, who died young of cancer, and to whom the film is also dedicated.
